What time each day do tournaments close?
All tournaments which last one or more days close at 12:00AM PST.

Is there a limit on how many tournaments I can join?
No.

What happens if a tournament does not get many entrants?
The size of the prize pool in a CASH tournament is determined by the number of entrants. However, the lowest prize which can ever be won will equal the entry fee. So even if you are the only entrant, then you will receive your money back.

Is there a limit to how many times I can enter a tournament?
Absolutely not, you can as many times as you wish.

Do all players participating in the same tournament have the same odds?
At BeAContender, there is no such thing as "odds" of winning. Since our games are based on skill, everyone has an equal chance of winning.

Are there limits to how much I can win?
No. You are only limited by your skill!

Who is currently allowed to play in CASH tournaments?
Any U.S. resident in a non-restricted state that is 18 or older and has a confirmed PayPal account.

Canadian and non-US residents must live in one of the accepted countries, be 18 years or older, and have a PayPal account.

We allow one account per person.

Who is currently ineligible to play in a CASH tournament?
People under 18 years of age, as well as residents of the following U.S. states, are restricted from CASH tournaments with cash prizes: Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, and Tennessee. Also, residents of some countries are restricted from playing in Money tournaments.

Also, employees or shareholders of BeAContender (and their immediate family members); its parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates; and any other person with access to non-public information regarding the operation of any tournament offered on the Site. For purposes of this section, immediate family members include parents, siblings, spouses, children, or any other person permanently residing in the same household with such employee or shareholder.

Finally, BeAContender reserves the right to disallow any person from entering a tournament. For instance, BeAContender will ban any player who is discovered cheating or who has, in any way, violated stated our Terms and Conditions.

I live in one of the restricted states or countries. Can I still play?
You can try out our games in the FREE tournaments only. You cannot play in CASH tournaments until your state or country changes its position about skill-based gaming.

How old must I be to play in CASH tournaments?
You must be 18 or older to participate in CASH tournaments with entry fees and prizes.

Isn't playing on BeAContender considered gambling?
No. Gambling is defined by most states and many countries as involving a "consideration" (wager), an activity involving chance, and a monetary or merchandise reward. Since all BeAContender games are based on skill, it's the skill of the player, not luck, which determines the outcome of any tournament, so they are not considered to be gambling activities. Even in games where there seems to be a minor element of chance, such as Super Word Slots, the element of chance has been eliminated through our proprietary software. Equally important, players play against each other, not against BeAContender. We never make money from the outcome of a tournament. Instead, we make money for setting up and managing tournaments between players.
